The Essence Of Spirituality
Spirituality is the essence of life. Spirituality brings to us the real picture of the life. Spirituality introduces us to our reality. Spirituality is the science of spirit.
By the term of spirit, people generally conceive of ghost. Soul is a bigger realm of which ghost is just a part. We too are spirits. The only difference between us and ghosts is because of the type of body we possess. This is getting profound. Today the meanings of the words have been lost, because of ignorance. People make the words or explain them to other in the way they understand without bothering of the real meaning.
We are souls. A very easy explanation to this statement can be the ultimate reality of life i.e., death. Many believe that life is just the result of combination of certain compounds but if it were true then the death cannot be explained. What does a person loose at the time of death to get transformed into a dead body? Of course, nothing material, it is we ourselves. It might be a little tricky.
When someone dies, we say, he/she is no more. This statement is generally misunderstood it must be understood that “he/she is no more” means that the spirit is no more in the body or on more in the easily perceivable form. We can call the state of the spirit after the death to be in-manifest.
It is a long journey that we are going through. There are numerous bodies that we take in the run with every single body associated with a birth and a death with life in between. It will be discussed later.
In this way spirituality starts with the spirit and then finally merges with the Divine. God is also a soul. We have a very small difference.
The way He (the Divine) manifest himself is the universe. The span of His manifestation is a numerous times longer than that of ours. He controls His manifestation and ours too but we do not.
All of us might have heard of dissolution. This is nothing but just the process of change of Divine’s state from manifest to in-manifest.
This universe is beautiful and big, very big. As we live on the earth but do not come to know of its shape and assume it to be flat. Thanks to our astronomers to bring the truth to us. Similarly we do not come to know of the reality of the universe even and just remains busy discussing its infinitesimally small part but do not even think of its essence as the Lord Himself. This is something due to which we are now looking at the God as a mystery. Thanks to the sages of India.
But as the sage reached the end of the knowledge by knowing the essence of the universe, we too can.
We have always been searching of a single thing that should be known to know about everything else. For example as we know that sugar is sweet we can easily tell the taste of any disk prepared by using sugar.
God is that one thread on which everything else is resting as beads. He is the one reality to know whom, the goal of our lives is. As after His knowledge happiness, death, life, sorrow, good, bad everything ceases. It is something like meeting of a son to his father after ages, but infinitely intense.
This is all of spirituality in small chunks. Ages have passed discussing on these topics. Knowledge has no end other than the God Himself. So spirituality is not something that leads to God in fact. But God Himself leads to Him by something that is known as union or yoga.
